Charlie, or my son David, and I went to the Cairngorms. Charlie was learning to drive. Extracts are from my diary.
Dave and I set off first thing for the Cairngorms. Dave drove. Stopped in Aviemore for maps. Went up Cairngorm by tourist path.
Then headed out to Ban Macdui. It was covered in mist.
Took a track home. My back was bothering me so used stick Donald MacIver gave for 50th birthday.
