Shandwick 21
Saturday 25th December 2021
A walk at Shandwick Beach (1.8 miles).
A very Happy Christmas to all who read this.
(Matthew 1: 21 – 23) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Anne and I went to our daughter Mairi for Christmas day and had a lovely day. In the afternoon we went out to Shandwick and walked along the Path of Good Health beside the beach.
It was bitterly cold – frosty with a high wind!
The end of the path.
There was almost like a park and picnic area.
The path climbs above the sea.
Looking out to the three seaboard villages – Shandwick, Balintore and Hilton.
It is strange but there is a bus stop in the middle of no-where!
We returned to Mairi’s wee car and had a picnic in it. A lovely thing to do on Christmas day.
