A walk with Anne and Mairi at Logie (4.7 miles).

Mairi took a day off work to spend with Anne and myself. It was lovely.

Mairi came for us at 9.00 am and took us in her car to Forres. We went into the cafe at Mackenzie & Cruickshanks and had the usual scone, which is itself a meal! Mairi then took us out to Logie Steading where we had a look in the shops. We then went for a walk to Randolph’s Leap. Did we get there? I don’t know. We have tried this walk before but never got as far as we did today. This is beyond Randolph’s Leap (I think). It’s the River Findhorn.

Near the end of the track we were able to get down to the river. It’s ‘Last of the Mohicans’ country!

We came out onto this road at a bridge over the Findhorn.

We followed the road onto the B9007 which took us back to Logie.

This is Logie Steading.

Here is where the track to Randolph’s Leap begins.

We found the ‘Flood Stone’ and looked out over the river but there was nothing to indicate ‘Randolph’s Leap’ as far as I could see.

The morning had been wet but it stayed dry till we got back to the car. It was very windy. A lovely walk.
