A walk from Dundee to Broughty Ferry (6.1 miles).

Anne and I were down for a wee holiday in Dundee. We drove down and got into our room at the Tayview Hotel on Moray Street above the Broughty Ferry Road.

We went to MacDonald’s at Milton of Craigie for tea. I had a double cheeseburger, chips and a MacFlurry all washed down with Coke.

We had a rest at our hotel and after 7.00 we walked to Broughty Ferry and Broughty Castle. A super walk. We went via the Dundee Road.

This is crossing the railway into Broughty Ferry.

Looking back up the Tay to the Tay Bridge.

Tayport across the water.

That was the second boat we saw rowing up the Tay.

Broughty Harbour and lifeboat.

The pavements out here are magnificent.

We came to Broughty Castle.

We returned by back streets and by Craigie Drive to the Tayview Hotel.

With our walk in Tomintoul on our way down from the north and then walking out to MacDonald’s we must have done nearly 9 miles today. I was very tired. Old age!
