A walk from Glen Prosen to Glen Clova (8.0 miles).
Anne and I are on a wee holiday in Glen Prosen in a lovely little cottage called Burnmouth. The Minister’s Path crosses form Glen Prosen to Glen Clova. We decided to walk it.
After 11.00 we set off on the Minister’s Path to Glen Clova. We had to turn around and come back for our wellies as the grass and heather were so wet. It was also quite cold and I had gloves on the whole walk.
You can see the mist down on the hills.

Burnmouth – our wee cottage which is absolutely lovely.

That track leads to a lonely house at Glentairie.

That is Glentairie down there. What an isolated spot to live at.

The path got very narrow here. How the minister got through with a pony and trap I don’t know.

We came onto the Airlie Estate, more of tomorrow.

It was a climb from 800 to 1350 feet. There was a sign at the top that steered us down to Glen Clova but was not the path marked on the map.

We had lunch when we reached the forest at Drums Plantation sitting on a wooden pallet.

We came down to the road in Glen Clova and were assured by the sign it was the Minister’s Path we had followed. There was a seat there that we made use of for a few minutes before turning back.

Highland Council would be proud of Angus Council’s road surface!

It was just a matter of retracing our steps. We got back to Burnmouth at 3.00.
This was a super walk.
