A short walk up the Mannoch Road near Archiestown (4.2 miles).
I had been out on my motorbike on Thursday and had used my Xmas present from Graham and Mairi – a portable chair. Later in the day, when I reached Lochindorb, I found I had lost the bottom of the chair leg. It must have fallen off back at the passing place before here where I had had my lunch.
Anne and I came out to Forres in my “new” car. We had a scone at Mackenzie & Cruickshank’s and then came out here. We stopped at the previous passing place and I found the part of my chair down a hole that looked like a mouse hole. It was bout 2 inches down. If I had waited longer I wouldn’t stand a chance of finding it. After finding it we moved on just the small distance to this spot that I had noticed on Thursday.
The walk is signposted. We just did a 2.1 mile section of it and not the 6 miles to Bardon.
The Cairngorms are in the distance with snow on them.

My really cute “new” car. I went down to Perth for it on Monday.
We passed this ruin. What a shame to let it have deteriorated like this. There are a lot of ruins round the north that were just left. That should not have been allowed.

We had a wee look around and took a couple more pictures before heading back.
We got back to my “new” car and had a wee picnic in it. We came back to Forres and then on to Nairn where we did a bit of shopping. We had a wee picnic in the car park just over the Kessock Bridge where there is a Harry Gow’s. We came home. What a nice wee day.
