Charlie then drove us round to the top of the Boath road. After all this we started walking at 9.45. It was a stunning day as can be seen from the photos and very hot. This is so different from when we walked it in 2023, also in July, when I had to wear gloves for a while and we had jackets on! When we reached Loch Morie we had something to eat.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><br \/>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_103737399.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_103741971.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_103748117.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>It is a plod down (or up?) the loch; it was very wet and boggy in parts.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_105002396.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>Meall Mor. It is many years since I have been up there.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_105005360.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>Carn Chuinneag is showing with the almost double summit beyond the head of the loch. Hugh, David and myself went there many years ago.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_105826853.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>I have taken a photo of the old telegraph poles before and had to take one again. I wore a long sleeved shirt but am trying to avoid having another skin cancer developing. We had a good rest here. We reached this point at 12.20.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_122842132.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_122858877.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>This used to be all forest but since it has been cut down there are fantastic views to the head of Loch Morie.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_130139694.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>Meall Mor and the Novar Windfarm beyond.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_130143490.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>We climbed and then came round to the lovely Loch Bad a&#8217; Bhathaich. The Gaelic names are something else! Our landscape is spoiled by a new windfarm.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_132223306.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_132301441.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_133838570.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>Here we have walked round the loch and the road is downhill more or less all the way.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_133843093.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2025-07-12_LochMorie\/IMG_20250712_134956979.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>This bridge crosses the Abhainn Glac an t-Seilich. Never ask me to pronounce these names. What a brilliant day.
