We drove to Forres in my old Ford Fusion and had a scone and a drink at Mackenzie &amp; Cruickshanks. A meal in itself. It is situated on a raised bank on a now isolated section of the former road to Findhorn.<br \/><br \/>More information can be found here &#8211; the <a href=\"https:\/\/forresheritage.co.uk\/2025\/06\/25\/the-stone-of-forres-also-known-as-suenos-stone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forres Heritage Trust<\/a><br \/><br \/>There are several signposts to mark the way.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_110048501.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_110113318.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>Very shortly after the Sueno&#8217;s Stone you cross the busy A96 by this pedestrian footbridge.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_110132991.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_110211846.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_110218160.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>We could see the hills in the north, even Morven. That is the remains of Kinloss Abbey.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_113745632.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_113755594.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>The parish church in Kinloss is rather nice.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hferrier.co.uk\/personal\/2026-02-14_Findhorn\/IMG_20260214_113908235.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><br \/>You then pass what was RAF Kinloss.
